This is the cover of Huffington Post’s political page. It’s obviously perfect for Halloween and it addresses McCain’s feelings towards republicans after the government shut down. It is a simple graphic, but it really gets the point across. Huffington Post is a very liberal political blog. The witches from Hocus Pocus are in the background of a very stern McCain. The graphic is making a mockery of McCain by putting a trivial and humorous movie still in the background. This is an effective graphic because Huffington Post took something that society does not take seriously and puts it in the background of a very serious McCain. It pokes fun at him and an also show Huffington Post’s has a Halloween spirit!
